Thing is, no one knows WHAT ANYONE will think about this article - it will have an affect on many undoubtedly - it's likely to be the one, two punch - lately we've had the Michael Porter scandal, the Child Abuse settlement in the US, reduction in length of the Public Talk, the Secret Watchtower Edition, the change in teaching of the 'generation', Emma Gough's needless death and now journalists seeking to raise awareness of this 'insignificant religion' and its death dealing policies.
Is it me, or is this quite a lot of punches in a row?
I feel we are headed for an interesting few months and likely a lot more newbies on JWD!
Roll on the demise of the Tower.....

Nvr - yes there are a few inaccuracies but overall it is still thought provoking and if it just prompts a few witnesses to re-examine their faith and investigate their doubts and at the same time prevents people from studying with witnesses, this can only be a good thing.

Great letter Jeff - looks like some journalists are sitting up and speaking up and educating people as to what's really going on with this cult, as evidenced by the article in the UK Independent Newspaper today - this journalist was obviously tipped off by someone just like you Jeff, well done!

oops - don't know what happened there....
In the UK Independent Newspaper today there is seriously thought provoking article about the beliefs and practices of the Witnesses, prompted by the Emma Gough tragedy. Some uncomfortable reading for our old friends no doubt.
Grab a copy while you can!!! -

Now 5.
They are responsible for all those feelings of being left out at school and not being normal which you desperately want to be when you are a child. They took away my desire for an education and a career. They took away the opportunity for 'experience' with the opposite sex. But most of all they've taken away my best friends of the last 36 years who I love dearly and you don't replace those friendships ever. You may find some more but these take time and I still want the old friends back. They've taken away my husband's mother and brother and his wife, a grandparent and uncle/aunty of our two little boys.
But, I know I have many things to be grateful for - the mind control hasn't totally worked on my mum and dad and they are still showing unconditional love to us all. I have a wonderful husband who helped me to 'see the light', two amazing sons who have their whole life ahead of them free of the restrictions of dogma and we have great new friends in our life.
I wouldn't trade freedom for anything.

A tragic waste of a precious life, for nothing. How many more people have to die before someone wakes up to the fact this cult is a sham?
Words fail me. -

What has everyone done with your literature, now that you've left?
by momzcrazy ini have boxes of literature upstairs.
i was waiting for bookshelves to get built in our new house, but now i don't want to put them all up.
i have sentimental things, like ones that were my dad's.

I put all of mine in the recycling 3 days after I found out it was all a charade, except my bible-for some reason I felt sentimentally attached to it and also had highlighted all the intellectual dishonesty that was in there. I regretted throwing out my Proclaimers book only because I wanted to have a permanent personal reminder of all the instances where the WB&TS have shot themselves in the foot with all their inconsistencies, lies and wishful thinking......
Funnily enough though, when I hold my bible, it brings back good memories and makes me sad for all the friends that have turned their backs on us. :-( -

Some will, some won't.
Just like the UN scandal - some are horrified by it and it's the right time for it to move them to leave, some can't see what the fuss is about and nothing will convince them that the organisation is not led by God and will put scandal down to imperfect individuals who God is weeding out of the organisation in his due time. -

The irony is that my letter IS NOT a Disassociation letter - I specifically ask for them to leave us alone and in turn we will leave others alone.
But they ignored this, just as they ignored my mental state and bulldozed ahead with the judgement.
So now the cuffs are off and we can shout it from the rooftops if we please.....
Thanks again for all your kind comments.
